My minis

Welcome to my site which is dedicated to my favourite car, The Classic Mini

This Web site features my own cars (I might be selling them soon!) and general tips for car care that I've gathered from research and from experience. It also features a few restoration jobs My self and My father (Mick) have completed.

My Cars

Presently I have 3 minis (2 of which are for sale). The one i drive every day is my 1980 Leyland 850cc which is old english white with a black roof. Its engine is standard but reliable and serves me well. We restored it in the winter of 2004 and hope to show you some pictures soon.

My next car is my 1987 Metallic Gold Austin Mini Mayfair which has all the Mayfair extras such as rev clock and reclining seats(yes these are extras in old mins!). It has a 998cc engine which is standard except for an aftermarket electronic ignition kit. This car was restored back to its former glory and I have hundreds of pictures of the work completed on this car. I hope to post them up soon. SOLD..

Last but definitly not least is the 1986 Black Austin Mayfair with a 1275cc Mg Metro engine. This thing really goes. The standard Mg Metro engine has about 70 odd bhp, my one has a stage one kit which includes uprated inlet and exhaust manifolds, performance air filter, carb needle and straight through exhaust giving about 15% power increase(manufacturers of these kits claim 20% increase but its closer to 15%). So she is putting out just over 80bhp which in a car weighing 700kg means plenty of entertainment.(for sale)

Well thats our story. As i am always looking to buy and sell minis those paragraphs previous will change over time.

Enjoy the site.

Joining a club

If your thinking of buying a classic mini, or already have one but dont know much about minis, joining a club can be the best way of getting information about your car and making some like minded friends who share the same interest. There are a few club sites mentioned on my links page but the club im in is called The South East Mini Club( www.southeastminiclub.com ) , which is based (as the name says) in the south east of Ireland. There are about 25 members and people join every day. You should take a look.
